Password Protected WEP?

Hi. I have connected to the internet on my Wii before. It was working fine, but then the administrator of the wireless network I use changed it to a WEP connection, and kept the password on it. Now, I can't connect because the Wii doesn't seem to allow me to give a password on a WEP connection.

Why does this problem occur, and is there anyway to fix it?

Make a new connection

It would probably be best at this point to create a whole new connection on the Wii. I have created WEP connections and WPA connections in the past with no problems. Is your Wii auto-discovering the SSID? If not, create a new connection manually and specify the SSID, then choose WEP for the security type, and you should get the option to enter the WEP key.

My Wii auto-discovers the SSID, and chooses the WEP connection, which is correct. When I put the password in, it just says the information is incorrect.

Have you tried making a new connection manually, instead of auto-discovering?

I have tried that. It still says the password is invalid.
