so i finally used my wii after having it for 4months today.
and i downloaded mario 64, it saved to my wii hard-drive. but i got a 1GB sd card in and i want it on there instead of on my wii. so i copied it to the sd card, but i took my sd card out and put it in later on and it wasnt on there.
anyway,
is there a way i can set my wii to automatically save games/vc games onto the SD card instead of the wii memory?

The internal memory of the Wii isn't a hard drive. Think of it as an SD card that is permanently connected inside.
You can make a copy of Mario 64 on the SD card but you can't play it from there :(
You also cannot put save games directly on the SD card or load them from it :(

In other words, the SD cards are fairly useless at the moment.

wow thats dumb.
oh well i got the sd card on sale for 19.99 instead of the reg. 99.99.
but whats the point of selling them for the wii, if there is no point?

argh
so what happens when my wii memory is used up
how can i save games if the sd card is pointless?

Well good question.

The only solution currently is to copy files to the SD card, delete them from the Wii and then move them back if you need to use it. Kinda idiotic I know.

The purpose of the SD card is to store back-ups of games. You cannot save directly to, or load from an SD card. But you can keep back-ups on the SD card and place it back onto the Wii's system memory whenever it is required.
