Red steel or Call of Duty 3?

the gameplay is pretty even between the 2 of them, the question is, the story line,,

i personally love the Red Steel storyline, setting and characters, the whole, japanese mafia underground thing is fun,,i'd rather play a game that focuses on modern day japan than a game that focuses on WWII,

just my opinion, i'd say go with what interests you,, the swordplay is an added bonus in redsteel, but if you like history and WWII go with COD,

My Personal Review:

Red Steel: 9 out of 10
Call Of Duty 3: 8 out of 10

Hmm I havent played red steel, but I would recommend CoD3 if you are looking for a decent FPS. The gameplay is awesome, but the only downside is the characters arent very deep, oh and no multiplayer :( But other than that I think it is a great game.

I would recommend renting them or go to a friend's house and try them first. Both games have both pros and cons, some more exaggerated than others so i would highly suggest trying it yourself first

Get call of duty..have none of you heard the reviews for red steel... it got a 6 on ign. Red steel is sort of decent, but was just to hyped up. it was definatley rushed, and the controlls suck. Get Call of duty and take down some Nazi's!!!:cornut: 100th post!!!

Just because it got a 6 on IGN isn't a good reason to not get it. You have to look at all of the other reviews done by other websites, WWII genre games are kind of getting old and repetitive in my opinion. Red Steel's storyline is more original, and not just another WWII game. I'd suggest trying both games out first.

From reviews i've seen, COD 3 is looking better than Red Steel.
Then again i only have Red Steel.
Red Steel is an okay game, its not good, its not that bad, just okay.
Controls hard to get used to, and yeah.
I should probably Rent CoD 3 soon, cause it looks pretty darn good.
CoD 3 doesn't have a multiplayer which kind of sux, but oh well.
Anyways i'd rent em both first and see which one you like better.

i guess it's....okay

i have looked at other reviews but some places like gamespot are way too mediocer. I also have g4tv and watched the wii special...xplay gave it a 3 out of 5(control issues)...bruttaly honest game reviews.

THERE'S TOO MANY WWII GAMES... THE ENVIRONMENT IS OLD, ITS ALWAYS THE SAME !! we want something new and futuristic !

We do? I would rather fight in WW2 than 2142. Speak for yourself

What we need first is a WW3 then make a WW3 game. :)

?? I'm so glad you're joking, do you know how dumb that sounds.

Personaly I'll be getting COD 3 after I've completed Zelda and will possibly buy Red Steel when it gets reduced to like £9.99. I've read the reviews, seen the game footage and still am unsure about Red Steel. It sounds like a good game, and I'm not too fussed about the controls so I guess it may be worth it to rent them first?
