Release Dates?

I've been confused about this for a while, so I'm gonna ask now. When Gamestop says that the pre-release for the game is, say, Nov. 5th does the game come out that day or the next day? I'm asking this because I pre-ordered Fire Emblem and it said release Nov. 5th, but it's not out yet. Then it says pre-release for Mario and Sonic is tomorrow, so will it come out Wednesday? I'm confused...T_T

usualy thats the case... when they say a game comes out a certain date it means that its being shipped that day.... some stores will have it in the date. some others wont. it all depends how the fast their delivery is. in most cases if something is released the 5th it will be available the 6th... (from my own experience)
