Standard wii remote on wii mini?

HiDo the normal wii remotes work on wii mini?I brought a standard wii remote with motion plus but cant sync it to my wii mini?Many thanks

Yep, all Wii-compatible remotes also work with the mini.

Nintendo's official how to guide should be able to help you sync your remotes. Just click "Wii Remote" and then the "How to Sync Wii Remotes to the Wii Console (Standard Mode)" bullet.
