wii remote problem

I am having problems with my wii remote. It works fine at the channels menu but fails to function properly during games, or more specifically motion based games.

For example, in wii sports tennis the player wont swing at all. In wii sports baseball, the player will automatically swing every few seconds without me even touching the remote.

Wario wares pointing mini games work ok, but again, any swinging motion detecting moves dont work at all.

Has anyone else had similar problems?

Ive tried everything such as re sync, replacement batteries, and good old pulling the plug out.
Its doing my head in now.

Any advice?

Same thing here, in boxing my right hand which is controlled by the wiimote does not do anything at all even if I swing it like a mad man. Tried everything to fix it but didn't work so I'm going to try to get an exchange tomorrow.

saw this happen and removing/re-installing batteries from all remotes, then re-syncing did the trick. might have been a fluke, but easy to try.

Did you solve the problem? anyone else had this problem...apart from me now!

I sorted it.

Turned the everything off and disconnected everything before putting it all back together.
