Nordic Games today released fresh details about forthcoming Wii game, We Dance. The game will support up to four players dancing simultaneously to 40 classic dance tracks. To help players prepare for the main game, there will be warm-up sessions, while Dance School mode will provide player tutorials so that they can learn the dance steps and hand movements for each song before trying it in the main game. All dance steps have been fully choreographed by professional dancers, with each song having a Star Rating to guide players and give an indication of how difficult each track is. Following completion of a routine, gamers will receive their performance statistics, helping them learn and develop moves. There are also leaderboards featuring top player charts if you’re really competitive.

In addition to the main game, We Dance will also include three Party Game modes: Jump, Step and Pose, featuring a variety of four-player mini-games. And for those who just want to enjoy watching the 40 videos that are on offer, there’s also Jukebox mode Dance TV. Here’s Nik Blower, sales and manufacturing director, Nordic Games, talking about the game:

“We Dance is more than just a straightforward dance game as these features prove. The genre is ready to be taken to the next level and this announcement today, along with our future plans, will demonstrate that we’re a step ahead in the music and dancing game genre.”

Nordic Games says it will be releasing more information, including a full tracklist and exclusive features, over the coming weeks.
