Wii help. Buzzes and then freezes

Occasionally the wii will make a sort of buzzing noise and then freeze. I have to go and unplug it from the wall. It might happen every couple of days and i just want to know if anyone knows whats wrong? If it matters, I leave wii 24 connect on all the time so the yellow light is always on. Someone please help.

Buzzing would indicate a problem with the disc drive. It's probably freezing up when the drive fails to read the disc when a request is made (the buzzing is probably either the spinning mechanism is failing, or the read head lead screw mechanism is failing).

Either way, calling Nintendo support is your best option.

Have you checked that both ventilation grills are not clogged up? Could be related to overheating.
