I like racing games what are some I should get and some I might want to stay away from? Which are ones I can play online with other wii users?

mario kart is the biggest one with online but is a bit family.
excite truck gets good reviews but no online.
gyrostarr is a wiiware game that you can download so it costs less thats supposed to be ok. not sure if its out yet but no online...but you can compare your times against other wii users online.
NASCAR kart racing comes out feb 10 but idont know if its online. also the graphics arent like real life nascar. its more cartoon.
thats all I know. maybe someone else knows.

GT Pro series - lousy
Ferrari Challenge - i dont know much about
Nitrobike - same as excite truck but with dirtbikes
MotoGP 08 - not out yet, ill be picking it up
Donkey Kong barrel blast - apprently not bad
Sonic Racers - lousy controls

I'll talk only of games I own.
I find Mario Kart Wii to be a very unbalanced racing title IMO... It's a nice Game anyhow...
The WiiWare High Voltage Hot Rod Show is very good, a bit short but quite interesting for it's 10 bucks.
If you like street racing their's Need for speed carbon. I've enjoy it a lot although it has no online. You can have it new for 20 bucks.
Personnaly I like street racing games, since their's so few of 'em for the Wii I got a bunch of used GameCube titles that you may enjoy too: Burnout 2: Point Of Impact, Need For Speed Underground 2, SRS Street Racing Syndicate. Unfortunatly their's no online play for GameCube titles.
Their's also Extreme-G 3 a futuristic GameCube racing game that's good too.

Dirt 2 is due out this year for Wii.

i have both and love both
mario kart is fun and has online for battle and racing
excite truck is fun too has hours of gameplay
i wouldnt get any other car game yet. hopefully they can improve the nfs series
