25th Anniversary Red Wii Question(s)

This edition of the wii which I am all sure you have heard about is coming out later this month. I am very interested, I love the games on it, and am thinking of buying it upon release, e.g. the UK edition.

My two questions are do you think it will ever come to the United States and I better off waiting; and if I were to purchase it would I then have to purchase games in PAL (phase alternate line) for the rest of my days owning it?

Any and all info would be great.

As long as the only thing they change is the color and not the hd space or graphics or anything like that then I see no reason to buy.
