A Brazilian senator is putting "offensive" videogames on the chopping block through a bill that spells imprisonment for those caught making, importing, or distrubuting such games in Brazil.
The bill, authored by Brazilian Senator Valdir Raupp, has already passed through the Education Commission of the Senate and will now go to vote in the Committee on Constitution and Justice.
Brazilian website UOL reports that Raupp's bill seeks to "curb the manufacture, distribution, importation, distribution, trading and custody, storage, the video games that affect the customs, traditions of the people, their worship, creeds, religions and symbols."
Raupp's bill sets a penalty of one to three years imprisonment for those caught breaking it
