you don't need wi-fi for pictochat, if a ds in pictochat (or pictochat enabled in certain games) your ds will pick it up in pictochat. You need a wi-fi enabled game to set up wi-fi though, or the internet browser :yesnod:

i think you made a bad call. i used to use my little brothers old ds until i bought my own lite. and i dont think i could ever go back to playing the old one again. the difference in brightness is amazing. good luck playing that old thing outside in the sun

I bought the original when it came out, then the Lite when it came out a couple of years later. I would never want to play the original again now.

Plus, the original was hard to fit in my pocket, which is where I always keep my handhelds. I think 70 bucks is too much.
