i got my wii today for christmas i got all the uva consoles nd was quite excited den realised it had wifi nd got excited so wirelessly connected my router to it it and it said it found it which is wierd cos i had to do loads to my router to get it to connect to the uvas so this screen popped up saying install the update and finkin it wud b like the xbox 360 nd take a max of about 5 mins i clicked ok im about an hour down the line now nd its not even half way how long does this update take afta the connection has been made

Shouldn't take so long.. .. .. but so many new owners connecting will slow up the servers.

Unplug your Wii and try again (unless the progress bar is still moving, in which case just leave it)

Max time of 15 mins should be expected.

mines been going an hour now at least sooooo i think im gunna unplug and attempt agen tomrow let others make the mistake chears do mann

mine took an hour and 20 minutes...but i also found out i needed to change the channel on my router now its lightning fast
