IM so confused? to play people online? do u have to add people? or is there a random match? how do i do that?

EDIT: Anyway, I guess the correct way to play Mario Strikers: Charged online is to Select 'Ranked,' then select 'Play' to randomly be paired with another player currently online.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. It's all cool...

To play Mario Striker: Charged online with people, you have to have the person's MS:C friend code added to your console. There is no random match generator or lobby for you to play random people.

^^That is one of the reasons XBox Live is considered the best online setup.

All you have to do is select Ranked and select play. It will search and match you up with someone to play against.

You can:

Play an added friend if they are online by challenging them
Or a ranked match that will select a random player who is also searching.
