Erased Game Data

OK I've been playing Rayman Raving Rabbids for a while now and got to 58%.
I turned my wii off for a while and came back to it about 2 hours later, and everything was gone. When I went to "story mode" on the game, it acted as if I've never played before.
My 58% wasn't there.

But when I go to the wii save data from the menu, it has the save file in there. So what the heck? Why won't the game pick it up?

You probably saved but didnt save when you had 58% complete. Its a real easy game, you can just do that again easliy anyway.

No because I made sure it saved...I quit the game and restarted it from the menu just to make sure it saved.
I was positive it was on 58% when I turned it off.
But still..the save file is in my Wii data area....but it's like the game doesn't pick it up or something.
