Foran forest - tears of light problem

okay so after i collected the 3rd tear, i realized that i needed midna to do this 'jump' to get inside this room, but she wasnt with me. She stayed at the entrance and everytime i go to her, she says "where are you going, blabla ill watch from here blabla go do your best blah.". I also didnt learn the energy field thing when i killed the three monsters. I tried searching, watching walkthrough vids and reading walkthroughs but none of it helped me sooooooooooooooo... any help would be appreciated. oh yeah, i tried to restart the wii (from last savepoint) and tried suiciding and leaving but it doesnt work 8(
