Help with 1st Set of Tears

I'm having trouble getting this last tear when your the wolf for the first time in the forest. Its in that house in the middle of the forest where you have to use midna to get up to. When I use the Z button to use the attack view it shows up in the black area before entering the house. However, it will not allow me to attack it and everytime I try to it takes me in the house and the creature is not there. Help please, its very frustrating.

nevermind I just saw it was outside the opposited end of the house. Wow that was confusing, if you didnt check the outside of the house.

I had that problem a few days ago, I was like where was he....totally behind the house.
