Gift problems

Hey everyone, newb in da house. =P

I did the Connection Ambassador promotion with a friend of mine this morning (since my Wii is only a week old), and we both got 500 Wii Points. I used mine to get SMB3, and he used his to gift me Mega Man 2. Problem is, that was almost 2 hours ago and it still hasn't arrived. I've checked the message board, Shop channel, everywhere and no trace of it. He said it already took the points off his account, so it's already been sent off. Is this delay normal?

There is a possibility of a delay. If the gift is not recieved within 45 days for Download. All the points will be returned to the original Purchuser. If problem persists, either you or your friend should contact Nintendo.

Yeah, he just told me he got his points back and he's gonna try and do it again today.
