Zen United and PQube announced today that Arc System Work’s Guilty Gear: Accent Core PLUS will be released for the Wii in the UK and Europe on Friday May 6. Coming from the same development team behind the multi-award winning BlazBlue series, Guilty Gear Accent Core PLUS is best known for its beautiful artwork and character design, heavy-metal inspired characters and the most refined fighting system ever created. Guilty Gear Accent Core PLUS represents the pinnacle of 2D fighting excellence and is considered the “connoisseur’s choice” by fight fans and critics alike.

The game features a huge story mode that enables you to explore the back stories of your favourite Guilty Gear characters, a retuned and rebalanced fighting system, a 25-character roster (including the return of fan-favourites Kliff and Justice), brand new exclusive game modes, including an innovative Survival mode that enables you to level up and increase your character’s abilities, and a brand new Battle Royale, that enables players to create three-man teams, adding new layers of strategy for the ultimate in versus mode battles.

A strictly limited, 200-piece Collector’s Edition package will also be launched on May 6, alongside the standard version of the game, featuring a choice between a Guilty Gear: 10th Memorial Artbook or the limited-edition Guilty Gear: Lost Archives art book, exclusive to the collection, a limited-edition antique silver Guilty Gear keychain, a Guilty Gear Accent Core PLUS official soundtrack, a Guilty Gear Accent Core PLUS t-shirt, and 1 of only 200 stunning Giclee prints of Guilty Gear’s A.B.A. The whole bundle will also be packaged in a beautiful presentation box, and will retail for £79.99 exclusively at the Zen United Store, which is now taking pre-orders.
