HELP-can't defeat goron with iron shoes

hey guys,

I am pretty sure I should be able to use iron shoes to defeat the Goron at death mountain trail again...I got the iron shoes, saved the kid, back to death mountain trail with iron shoes on, but was knocked off by that Goron...can anyone please help me?

Right before the Goron is about to hit you, hold A and move the joystick of the Nunchuk left or right.

Dont move your joystick too soon because he'll get a shot at you first.
