HI-new to Wii and a dumb question to boot

Just got a wii and haven't played console games in years( pc gamer here).

Zelda- Is the character talk......mine just grunt at the begining of a line of text. Is this normal..do i have something set incorrectly??

is everyone else in the game mute too.....cause this is actually what i am seeing....and its fine if it is...just wnat to make sure i set everything up properly

Well Link is the only mute in the game so something might b wrong
