i need help with my router!

ok i have got a nintendo wii i have had it for ages, so i went to connect to my router. I put all my details in and then test connected, it was all fine.
So i went on wiiconnect24 and went to connect to the internet, but then i said it "couldn't connect to the internet, etc..."...:yikes: so i am hoping to find out wether it is my router or my nintendo wii, so please help

What brand/model router?
Are you using wireless or a wired connection?
Do you have encryption enabled? MAC address filtering?
Do you have other wireless devices connected to the router that are working at that same moment? How about wired devices?

its an edimax, wierless, and im not sure about the rest because the ppl came roud and installed it for me so i don't have a clew...:scared:

I don't want to be rude, but if you can't answer any of these questions, no one here can help you. I would suggest contacting the guys that did the install and setup for you.
