Agreed there are only so many ways you can make a head set would you really say...

PS3's controller is a total rip off of Microsoft's it has all the same buttons

You'd be wrong first of PS1 and PS2 controllers were unveiled before the Xbox but besides that that is just a set standard for controllers GC although they said that it was so different it really wasn't

So back on topic that is the standard for a headset and there isn't really another way to do it
