Everyone knows that Mondays can be a bit rubbish in general, but not for US Nintendo fans, as Mondays are their special day when their Wii™ Shop gets updated with all sorts of fresh goodies.
Right, let’s get cracking then!* On WiiWare™ we have the US release of LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias which recently became the 100th game to be released by Nintendo of Europe on WiiWare. As we recently reported when announcing the European release, Winter of the Melodias is the follow up to last year’s award-winning WiiWare launch title. Looks like a lot of fun.
Also on WiiWare we have Shootanto: Evolutionary Mayhem, in which you must battle for the future in a world governed by the law of the jungle. You start off crudely chucking stuff at your enemies with your hands, and then learn how to use more sophisticated weaponry as your character evolves. Hmm.
Finally, on Virtual Console we have an arcade favourite from 1986, RYGAR™. A side-scrolling action game, it stars the legendary warrior, Rygar, who is resurrected in order to save the human race from the dastardly Beast Lord. Check it out if you like your old-school side-scrollers.
LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias, published by FRONTIER, is rated E for Everyone (mild fantasy violence) by the ESRB and costs 1000 Wii Points™.
Shootanto: Evolutionary Mayhem, published by Hudson Entertainment, is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and older (Crude humour, mild fantasy violence, suggestive themes) by the ESRB and costs 500 Wii Points.
RYGAR, published by Tecmo, is rated E10+ for everyone 10 and older (mild fantasy violence) by the ESRB and costs 600 Wii points.
All titles will be added to the Wii™ Shop Channel at 9 a.m. Pacific time on Monday 19th October.
