Warner Bros. Interactive has today released new screenshots from its forthcoming Scooby-Doo! And the Spooky Swamp Wii game, showcasing three distinctly different environments. The spooky swamp location is the sort of place we’re used to seeing the Scooby Gang exploring, featuring murky waters oozing with sludge and an abundance of creepy creepers and dense overgrowth that conceals many secrets. On a trip to the swamp, Scooby and Shaggy find their nostrils beguiled by a delicious smell wafting through the trees, and are led by their noses towards another mystery that urgently requires their unique skills.

Next up the gang finds themselves in the middle of the desert, where Velma, Fred and Daphne have taken Shaggy and Scooby for a holiday as a treat. A local big-wig has invited the gang as his guests to stay in the desert town of El Muncho. Of course, it’s not long before strange things start happening, with most of the town’s residents having fled in a bid to escape the dead who are apparently rising from their graves at night.

The final location featured in the screenshots is in the freezing Alpine mountains, at the aptly named Howling Peaks, where Mystery Inc. has traveled to hang out with Daphne’s cousin. When they arrive, they find that the ski slopes have been closed as a result of a local legend coming to life, and the local logging company has been forced to down tools as well, so unless the gang can solve the mountain village’s problems, Howling Peaks holiday season will have been ruined.

The game, which is due for release this fall, features new enhanced puzzle gameplay, lots of new enemies and titanic boss battles, as well as new gadgets and unlockables, including custom costumes that can be earned by collecting Scooby Snacks.
