Nintendo Server locations

I know from playing some computer online games that the location of the host determines your ping along with your internet connection. How will this work with nintendo? Where will the servers be located?

They could be located anywhere. It's not hard for any company to contract with a server provider; saves Nintendo the trouble of housing servers across the world.
