Picking a Router

I'm getting a router soon and I want to know the good brands and such. My last roter didn't quite work out so I want to get more information before buying one this time. Have any suggestions?

I don't think that this thread is in the correct section, but anyway:
I have a Netgear router and it works great for everything. I use it to connect to the Internet using my Wii as well as my DS and I have not experienced a single problem since the day of purchase.

My Linksys router is great, it connects to the wii perfectly and security is great.

definatly go with a linksys, for some reason my netgear cant connect with quite a few people, but my old linksys could.

check out ebay, they have some good prices, or look around your area, the linksys wrt54g might be on sale because of newer modles

I suggest a Linksys WRT54G.
There great routers, and I'v never had a single compatiblility issue with them.

EDIT:I got a the router today. It's a netgear. All the linksys were friekishly expensive.

Pick a NetGear... it's easy to configure and very stong. $60
