Playing video and MP3's on the wii

I have read about Orb and windows media certer X but I have 3 questions.
1. will you still have to convert your video files using Wii Video 9 or will these tools steam xvids to the Wii?
2. with Orb you need to connect to there site to stream your content. If my Wii and PC are on the same router will the Wii get the stream directly from the PC or does it actually go to the orb site and then the orb site gets the stream and sends it back to the Wii? This could cause delays in the stream.
3. Does anyone know when Media Center X will soon support MP3's for the Wii?

Tried this out lastnight.

Using Media Center X I had to convert my divx files using Wii Video 9 in order to even see the files. MP3 playback still does not work for the wii.

Using Orb I could play divx and mp3 files but it looks like it streams from the internet even though my PC is connected to the same router.
When playing divx files there was a big loss in quality.
