Welcome to the wiichat community. Yes it can, you must connect it to either a wireless connection, or a USB adapter, but I'm not sure about the latter. The wii has built in wireless connection, so you wouldn't have to buy anything extra there. Make sure you have a computer that has wireless connection to connect it.
