Had a problem where a number of wii disc's wouldnt start properly, took quite a whille to figure out the cause, but it turned out to be due to the usb powered recharger for the wii remotes. disconnecting it was enough to enable the disc's to boot up properly. As a result the charger for the wii remotes has been disconnected from the wii and all the disc's now load. About half the disc's would load up with the charger connected, but now they all do.

so you have to re-sync the wii-motes i take it.

Yes but no

As it took a while to figure out the problem, we thought it was the wii and had it exchanged, so had to re sync at that point.
When it it turned out the problem was still happening we took it back to the shop with a number of games and it all worked fine there!
In reality all we needed to do was isolate the charger for the wii remotes which we hadnt taken in. As the wii remote charger has a usb plug and it can fit into the back of the wii this didnt seem related to disc's not starting. But running off a separate power source has sorted all our disc boot up issues. The wii charger is a common aftermarket one where you put different backs on the wii remotes and the remotes then sit in a special charging stand.
So we shouldnt have had to re sych if we'd realised the problem was the charger a bit sooner.
