question bout wiiconnect24

ive been readin stuff about keeping the wii in standby mode by keeping wiiconnect24 on and i was just wondering is there somthing bad. ive read some things saying it can overheat and some saying its perfectly fine. so what is it? cus i want to keep mine on so i can get messages and stuff but i dont want my wii to overheat :sad: so whats the deal? also keeping it in normal standby(red light) is alright right?

My Wii lays horizontally, and has been in that position for a year and and a half now... WiiConnect 24 has been turned on the entire time. It has plenty of room on each side, and it's never even gotten warm that I've noticed.

I've got 2 Wiis, one kept horizontal, one vertical, Wiiconnect24 has been on on both since I got them in Dec 06. Neither one has had heat related problems.
