Robot Alchemic Drive

Ahh, one of my favorite games from PS2 - Robot Alchemic Drive (RAD), a Japanese-made title which was also marketed in North America under the name Gigantic Drive.

Basically, an alien invasion force of giant robotic war-machines called the Volgara have arrived to conquer the Earth, and the only one who can stop them is of course the youthful protagonist (a character played by you), by piloting a similarly large man-made robot giant. This powerful machine was built by an organization founded by your late father, who foresaw the possibility of alien invasion decades earlier.

The story exposition is cartoonish, but the action is great and the spectacle is larger than life! :yesnod:

The voice-acting is conspicuously wacky, but the best by far is the German chief-scientist -- he is just simply Wunderbar!

I admit, action games staged in conventional settings like Modern Warfare 2 tend to bore me.
Why would I want to see something conventional reproduced in 3D? I prefer the sci-fantasy games that provide amazingly different or surreal situations that are absolutely impossible to have in real life, and can only be depicted in a 3D virtual world.

Trust me - this game is totally RAD!
