i guess this is the right place to post but when is the relese of the ps3 before or after the wii?

Before the Wii for the Japanese people.
However, its coming after the Wii, worldwide (America, Europe, Australia etc). The worldwide release date is in March (I think)

The Playstation 3 is launching in 24 hours in America and in March everywhere else (except Japan of course, it already launched) and the Wii is launching on Sunday in America and December everywhere else.

Very very true man. Sony is definitely not pitching the Ps3 at children though. As of right now it is for adults looking for superior technology. But honestly, there is nothing wrong with the Wii. It is going to be a great console just like the Ps3 and the 360.
