Well converting a 800mb file to Wii format may not work. Because I know if I take an episode of South Park which is usually 175mb it converts it up to 532mb. What sucks is the loss in quality even though the file is being made bigger.

yeah so i thought.....its makes it almmost 3 times the size so 800mb would go over a 2gb card.

sort it out nintendo ffs.

Yeah, the video codec the wii uses is motion jpeg I believe. Essentially what you get is video with 23-30 frames per second, with each frame being a 640x480 jpeg image. Not the most efficient compression technique for video ;-)
My camera records video in the same format, it sucks. They are enormous videos, but require little processing power to record or play. It just takes tons of space and enough transfer speed to read those images fast enough.
