Shield... where do I get it?

Ok so im chillin with the gorons in the mountains of fire, when all of a sudden my shield burns up and Midnas buggin me to get a new one. So where do I find it? I feel like Ive missed something somewhere.

I know what you mean!

Just ignore her and battle through, the dungeon can be beat without the crappy shield, then when you finish it you can buy a stronger metal one from a shop.

you can buy a wood shield to use. later you can buy a iron shield at the castle

Yeah i just carried on. I didn't need the shield at all when I played through the fire temple. It was all good.

Bought the shield from the kid in the village. Just thought I needed it sooner cause of midna.

Bit of a late reply, but to get a new one you use that 'Ococo' dude or whatever he's called. Teleport outside the dungeon and go down to the Goron's shop, buy one, then teleport back.
