shop channel

My connection to the shop channel is a bit faulty. I don't get an error code message, but it just stays on the connecting/loading part. My other online features work fine. I eventually unplug my wii. Is this bad for the system?

It Could Cause A Sudden Short-Cuircut(sp?) Like When The Power Goes Out In Your House. Same Effect.... I Think...

Once or twice is probably okay but if it's frequently then it probably will end up damaging it.
