Heads up sports fans, Konami and Hudson Soft have a new team sports game on the way called Sports Fest, which is based around the competitive element of sport, with an all-new league system enabling teams of up to six players to use their various abilities to take on rival teams. Teams can use the game’s online capabilities to select their strongest competitor for each event, creating fierce rivalry as each team plays their various strengths to rise up the League Table.

The game is fully compatible with Wii MotionPlus, which is designed to give you even more close control over each of the ten events. Each event has a dual-level control system, with one system for beginners, and a second, more complex system, aimed at more experienced entrants.

The various sports allow between one and four players to participate simultaneously, and include Volleyball, Lacrosse, Fencing, Racquetball, Air Race, Giant Slalom, Half-Pipe Showboarding, Freestyle Kayaking, Spring Diving, and Logging. Hudson soft has also set up an online Ranking Board which will enable users to see how they rate in each event against their online adversaries. Screenshots are looking quite nice so this could be one to watch out for.

Look for Sports Fest to hit the shelves this fall.
