Stand Alone System Update

Hi Wii World,

Is there a way we can download the Wii system update to SD card pop it in the Wii and update it via the console menu.

I tend to believe that it would be a faster and more stable upload than running off Wifi. Specially here in good ol' SA.

Unfortunately, no, you can't do that. Although, if you insert a game disc that requires a newer Wii system software than what you have, it can be installed from the game disc.

But buying the newest games for the newest system updates is a bit of a schlep. I wonder if Nintendo has ever though of incorporating something like that with their newer updates.

lol. The irony. You'll need a wifi update to be able to update via SD.
