I was just wondering if anyone knew wether or not the new TNA wrasslin game is gonna be comin out on the Wii. Bein an old school wrasslin fan i hate that the old THQ games wont be available on VC, and i know the newest wrassler, RawvSmackdown 2007 wasnt on either wii or gamecube, so im hopin that the TNA one will and maybe dare i hope for online multiplayer. If anybody has any info, itd be much appreciated. :shifty:

yes it is. I reconomend Day of Reckoning 1 + 2 for the gamecube (wii). Both really good games and can be picked up cheaply on ebay.

I wont mind that game if it came out on the Wii, but Id much rather have Day Of Reckoning 3..if there is gonna be one.

Just got back from wally world and bought Day of Reckoning 1 for 14.88, woot old school thq.. kinda. It doesnt have as much depth move wise, tap or hold vs tap, hold for a sec, or hold like the old ones, but it is true to the engine, and with all the match types and stuff its just what i wanted. I need to get me a memory card, i saw one at walmart for 9.99, but i wasnt sure if it worked or not and this coming saturday the wife and i are going to orlando too see the TNA ppv and the taping the next day, and we are gonna spend Valentines day on Cocoa beach, so im bein frugal till we get back from that. But soon as i can make a dude that i can save, ill be wrasslin away waitin on the new TNA game.

So very, very, very true. Last night, i caught that new WSX wrasslin on MTV, they had justin credible, xpac, new jack, and alot of new and mexican wrasslers. Hell, they put on a better show than ive seen from the WWE in quite awhile. But aside from that, Day of Reckoning rocks, and I'm on the hunt for part 2

im on the hunt for part 2. however ive just purchased mario sunshine and i still have zelda nfs and smb to complete! I just dont have enough time for gaming at the moment.

P.S: WWE > TNA purely because of the likes of the undertaker and hbk!

Better show? The commentators sucked, and all WSX had were high spots that weren't so entertaining.

You're just a mark. WWE just has more soap operas than TNA, which is why I highly prefer TNA over WWE. Taker is old and over rated, and HBK is a Christian man telling everyone to suck it. Now why would your boss tell you to do such a thing when you're so religious? As for TNA, check out videos of Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, Petey Williams and even Eric Young. TNA is more fast paced than WWE, and once you see how these wrestlers perform, you will know why many people prefer TNA over WWE.

You are a mark as well. And I am too. I am a wwe mark. Having said this, I have watched TNA probably 50 times, and I just dont like it as much. So dont generalize the wwe fanbase by saying that we just dont know what were talking about, or that we just having experienced the fast-paced tna yet. Oh, and wwe has STORYLINES, not soap operas, tna has storylines too, yeah know. I admit that WWE goes further than there storylines, sometimes to the point of annoyance, but still I prefer wwe. The main reason I like wwe more is because of one of the main reasons you probably like tna more, the pace. I just like to see guys struggling back to their feet and barely being able to thrown the other guy a punch, rather than seeing a guy getting piledrivin through a table and then he jumps right back up to dropkick the guy. Tna's fast-pace seems too unrealistic to me.

Again, it is personal preference, so please refrain from stereotyping.

I wouldn't consider myself a mark, as both companies do have their pros and cons. I haven't been a heavy wrestling fan since the old Attitude days. Although the con about WWE, is they only take their "Superstars" seriously if they're above 6 foot and over 235 pounds. WWE uses recycled storylines from the Attitude/Warzone days. WWE style wrestling is too slow, and they don't use their real talent (i.e. Brian Kendrick) to the very extreme. Try looking for some ROH tapes and looking and Brian Kendrick taking on Paul London, you'll be jaw dropped at the amount that is taken out in WWE style televison.

WWE is stale, and if i see edge/orton vs hbk +someone again, i beleive ill vomit. WSX, as i ve only seen one episode, put more effort and excitement into their broadcast than there has been in wwe in quite awhile. As for london and kendrick, ill agree they have some talent, i saw london at quite a few house shows before he got on tv and fell to the mid to lower card, where the wwe puts all their talent if you arent all hulked up, which is BS< in my opinion anyway, im more of a fan of the lucho libre and japanese styles of wrasslin. The WSX commentators do suck ass, and i cannot stand their ring announcer, but any federation gets props from me for employing El Vampiro. The problem with WWE is the same as before WCW got big. Vince just throws the same crap on each week, they drag out and repeat storylines like we dont remember just a couple months ago, and ive heard some behind the scenes things about Vinnie that makes me dislike him as a person. Im going this weekend to the PPV in orlando and the monday taping, as i want to support TNA as much as i can, Jeff Jarrett or not 8)

What i think is funny is the cheesy psuedopyro WSX had, obvioulsy ripping off say old FMW exploding ring death matches. Eh, Mr. Pogo would kill em all. Its also a habit of mine to support any indepent (i.e., not WWE) wrestling federations because competition drives the market, which is why late 90's i stopped watchin wwe, as it was too stale, much like is happening now. As a side note, when raw came here to knoxville TN, i talked to and helped VKM when they were crashin it, I got a pic of me with them as they were being escorted out lol. But back to what this topic was orginally about for a moment, I have played DoR for over 20 hours now, 8 of them with no memory card lol, and it is so updated THQ. How anyone could put a wrasslin game in the hands of anyother company is beyond me. My create a wrassler now is a guy with giant bat wings and he's bright red. Woo Woo. I cant wait to pick up 2, and i just hope hope hope that the TNA game is good. Or a DoR 3 with online persistant play. Course then, my wife would probably file for divorce, although we did last thru me playin everquest and WoW 8) I check the Midway boards frequently, but apparently its so far off that they dont have a dedicated forum for it yet, so that blows. So in closing, Cena is the worst thing to ever happen to wrasslin, AJ styles is awesome, Rey shoulda never took off his mask, and all American wrasslin fans should be required to watch Japanese hardcore and mexican matches.

good points, i watch TNA Impact every week and most the ppv.

However saying the UT is overratted is well too far. Throughout almost all his career he has put his body through alot, end of last year he took a 10 foot drop. Yea granted it was on a matt but u wouldnt see any other 40 year olds do that would you? IMO he is well in the top 10 even top 5 wrestlers of all time (and im not talking based on title wins etc)

Sure he may be legendary, but that doesn't mean he isn't over rated, hell the Bret Hart/Montreal screw job is over rated, yet you see WWE constantly raping the hell out of it when it was a good 8-9 years ago? Mick Foley put his body through nothing but high spots, yet you don't really hear much about him, why? Because he doesn't wear makeup and roll his eyes in the back of his head. Here's the top wrestlers within the WWE, and sadly taker isn't one of them:

1. Chris Benoit
2. William Regal
3. Brian Kendrick
4. Paul London
5. Shelton Benjamin

All of which I have listed are possibly the only people who know how to wrestle in the WWE, yet, look at most of the list, they're either below mid-cards or putting on dark matches and putting the most stiff wrestlers over (i.e. Umaga). Instead of checking out Hayabusa, check out Brian Danielson and Jushin Thunder Liger, then get back to me.

wwe now and then

wrestling just go through cycles. back in the 80's early 90's wrestling couldnt have been better. hulk hogan, ultimate warrior, million dollar man and his slave virgil, loser wrestlers like barry horowitz, bad news brown. that was insanely good. then wrestler was lame for a couple years after lex express fault yokozuna. then came along the nwo, austin, rock, dx and all was good again. and now its just bad again. back in the 80's they had a fewer wrestlers, fewer pay per views, fewer main events. so two wrestlers only fault a handful of times. hogan would only fight at pay perviews and saturday night live events. less is more. these days there are main events every day, payperviews every month, wrestling every day of the week. its just too much. they also just dont have creativity any more. wrestlers just use their names, which is boring. give me wrestlers that have jobs like duke the dumpster drosey, I.R.S. Irwin R. Schnidzter that'll give u the audit, brutus the barber beefcake, and razor ramon. they were also very racist in the 80's which actually gave wrestling more character. people hated the iron shek. and then hated sgt. slaughter even more when he teamed up with the iron shek. bad news brown was a black man and hes finisher was the ghetto blaster. tito santana worked at taco bell. but nothing was better when virgil gained the courage to fight for his freedom. i was really pulling for him as a child and he ranks up there with Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks. so yea just saying wrestling blows now but im sure it'll get better in the coming years.
