Two player Sin and Punishment?

I just bought Sin and Punishment for the VC and in the game description it says 1-2 player. Either they lie or I'm a doornobb and don't deserve to play. If it turns out they lie can I get my Wii points back somehow?

I bought it when it first came on VC and i was puzzled as to where the 2 player option was too.

I believe you have to complete the game in single player first though, although i haven't actually got round to doing it yet.
