Nintendo Summit: Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Skies Release Date and Screenshots -1.052010-02-26 18:21:46Maura S

Alongside the exciting news about Mario and Samus emanating from the European and US Summits this week, Nintendo has also announced that Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Skies will launch across Europe on May 7th 2010. The game follows the story of Isa Jo and Kachi as they fight a battle for humanity between Inner and Outer Space. The two characters rule the skies on jet packs and flying boards as they fight to repel hordes of enemies with guns, swords and a powerful bomb.

During each level, the player will face enemies, including massive bosses called Commanders, in a certain specific order. This means that the player will have to study each stage and its set waves of enemies in close detail in order to achieve the best possible score. Players will be rewarded for hitting successive enemies while suffering as little damage as possible, and can earn more points by performing certain feats, such as destroying lots of enemies in a row.

Aside from the action-packed single-player mode, players can also join up with their friends in co-operative mode and take on the missions together. There are also many hidden gameplay elements to discover, including the best strategy to tackle specific patterns of enemies, or techniques that will reward skilled players with special medals.

The arcade-action game is designed to work perfectly with all manner of Wii controllers, including the Nintendo Wii Remote, the Classic Controller, GameCube Controller and Wii Zapper. *All sounds very intriguing, especially for fans of the original N64 cult Japanese classic which has been available on the Virtual Console.
