Wifi help

i just hooked up wifi on MY computer(bought it in like june,never worked,comp broke,etc.)
so how do you get friend codes for yorself in games?

p.s. dont sue me if theres a thread on how to

Most games have it in the friend code menu on wi-fi. Most of them will have a friend code menu where you can add friends, view friends and check your own FC.

In Mario Kart and Tetris DS it's in the Wi-fi/Friend Settings menu; in pokemon D/P you get a key item from one of the ladies at the bottom floor of a pokemon center called a Pal Pad which does the same thing; in Metroid you go into Wi-Fi Connection/Edit friends and rivals/Add friend and on that list you can add friend codes and it tells you your own (it took me so long to find my FC in Metroid).

What happened to my WiFi, I got it last christmas and every little while Ill try to hook it up. It always get to the very end of the bar then says Error (6) Internet Connection Problem? I tried a week ago, I put in the CD but this time nothing poped up at all.
