Hi Everybody, my very first post!

Anyway, I just bought the Wii, and its mega.
But one thing: i got it in America, and will be playing it in Britain
(on a British TV system)
Is it going to work?
Obviously, I have an eletrical adaptor, so that isnt an issue.

Needing an urgent reply...
Thanks fellow gamers

im almost positive it will work. (ALMOST)

but the games in uk wont work on it you would need to import from america,

So long as your TV is NTSC compatible then you seem to have all of the bases covered (Most TVs for the last 5 years or so are compatible).

NTSC = the type of signal used to transmit pictures to TV sets in the USA. It has a faster refresh rate (60Hz) than PAL(50Hz), the system used in the UK. At one time you could not use equipment from USA in UK because the TV's and video players were not designed to detect which format was being used, only for 50Hz PAL. Now though, most equipment will auto - detect which is being used and adapt accordingly (simplified answer, apologies if technical details a little off)

If it's a fairly modern TV it should support it. If it doesn't the image will appear in black and white

I'm sad to say, that Games from the UK won't work on a US console. Region locking is stupid in my opinion.

ya we know about regon lock but i think your tv may have to be brand new for it to work
