Does anyone know if it would be safe to put a wii console in the cargo hold of a plane?
I wouldn't. Bring it on your carry-on. Bring the wires in case they ask you to turn it on.
That's what I did. Letting it go in the Cargo thing is how I lost my Computer, XBOX, and Gamecube. I traveled with my Wii twice as a carry-on and all was well.
exactly what i was going to suggest AtomicB
With new rules though, they will make you take it out of your bag to show it to them. (Like a laptop) So, you should pack it near the top of your carry on.
I would just carry it
Make sure you have a nice case for it, so it won't get crushed in all the other carry on luggage.
Just buy a wii carry bag and pack it full of tissues and white powder that looks like cocaine, Actually forget the last part
Make sure you stuff green leaves in the disc slot to pad it. And tape a watch on it too.
^^ I forgot about that, And also tape a calculator next to the watch just to be safe
Preferable one that beeps regularly.
^^pushed it too far!
lolz. everything else though, your mad if you dont do it
Based on the title, I thought you wanted to use the Wii on the plane -- now that would be something!
I thought "snakes on a plane" myself.
Sharks in a Honda Civic.
doubt anything would happen but just carry it to be safe
No, no, and no.
Actually, I've put it in the cargo hold of a plane, WITH A DISC INSIDE (by accident), and both were 100% unscathed. But having flown United, Delta and American, I wouldn't recommend it. From my experiences these airlines treat luggage like s**t compared to Qantas, Virgin Blue or Jetstar.
damn beat me to it!!!!!!!!
