Wii Remote problem after shunt

I accidentally released the Wii Remote in the middle of a bowling swing and it hit the wall (no I wasn't wearing the strap because I was playing with some friends and putting the strap on and off all the time gets old pretty fast).

Fortunately, the Remote is still working fine, but if I shake it around I can hear something rattling inside. I believe it's some plastic that broke off from the battery cover and fell inside.

Has it happened to anyone else? The Remote works perfectly but it's annoying to listen to the rattling all the time.

Should I take it apart and void my warranty?

unless its a loud noise, i say leave it.
I always were the strap, dont feel right if i dont for some reason

nintendo may overlook this, but if there's a mar on it from the drop and battery cover piece in it... it technically could already be out of warranty... just a thought.

what method do they use to tell if you opened it?

i wouldnt worry if it doesnt bother u to much, but im one of those ppl who would buy a new one becuz of stupid little things

Well, if the remote still works, dont mess around in it. If you break it while your looking around in it, you'll have lost a perfectly good wiimote.
