I want to get an online wireless USB connector for my wii, i'm thinking of getting the one that is also compatible with the nintendo ds. Does anyone know how good the wireless signal is, like how much range it gives from your pc to your system.

hmm...bout 30 feet for me i'd say. but my system's downstairs so idk if all the wood and carpet and crap has any effect on the signal.

i have a question, and excuse me if there is a good answer for this that i am not aware of, but why would you buy a wifi adapter for the wii when it is already wifi ready?

You buy it so it can create an access point on your COMPUTER (i.e. so your wii can connect to your computer wirelessly)

I have this and it works fine for me. My computer is upstairs and my Wii is downstairs directly below the computer and am able to pick up a signal just fine.

That said if distance is any problem I would recommend a router.
