Wii with projection screen problems

I have my wii hooked up to a overhead projection screen and all of the wii games work fine on it. The problem that I have is when I click to play an old school game the screen goes out and it will no longer show the game screen, but I can still here the music. I have no idea what to do!!!

This is most likely a problem with your projector resolution. Are you connecting with the default AV cable or have you purchased the component one?

I am connecting from the reciever to the projector with a hdmi cable and I am using the connections that come with the wii to connect to the reciever! What is the problem???

Well, I've had this problem before. Seems that the video frecuency used to play the games on the VC is not entirely compatible with some projectors. Some just shut off the image, others give you a scrolling image.

I have found that if you connect using the component cable, and enabling the enhanced tv setting on the resolution menu (on your Wii) usually solves the problem.
