We could do GFX Skill Tiers and/or rankings. Suggestions please.

Adding all the points together doesn't seem very fair, since different people started at different times...

Maybe just add there best three finishes together...

It's not total points given, it's place out of number of entries.
IE: I come in second out of 9 I get 8 points. And so on.

Seeeems cooooool, adds a tad more competition. Though, this won't determine the 'best artist' as someone said isn't fair 'cause they weren't here from the start, is fine - 'caues I'm sure it won't be stated that way in a sense. Nonetheless, should be a laugh.

I agree that it isn't quite fair to those just joining in on the fun...I also think we need a running system so that we have a way to move up and down in the ranks. If we take your best three finishes that doesn't really take into account whether you are improving or digressing in my opinion.

Here's an idea. We could give each SOTW a shifting weight and only use the last 10 SOTW Contests. We would keep the idea of not total voting points but points for how you finished. For example.

SOTW #1 would be score times 1
SOTW #2 would be score times 2
SOTW #3 would be score times 3
...
SOTW #10 would be score times 10

That way you would be rated higher for your recent entries.

This would be more difficult to get started but I think I can put a spreadsheet together to make the math quicker to work out.

Only problem with that is what Endelhach said it that those just joining will be more at a disadvantage. I really don't know how to manage the rankings for the new guys. I think the above is fine but I think the original if there are 9 sigs 1st place gets 9 points makes more sense b/c it makes it more valuable to win a week with more sigs which is harder to do. More entries = more competition.

Ok Here are the Rankings with the weighted system. Keep in mind it will start to roll once we get to week 11 ie Week 1 will no longer factor into the rankings.
