Will there ever been old Game & Watch games for Wii?
(either on a disc or via download)
I feel so, so, so old..... :yikes: Perhaps I should also
explain what 8-track tapes are?
Hah wow that thing is prehistoric, yet modern looking. Oldschool DS!
Anyways, no, that wasn't listed.
That's an understatement.... when I bought it back in 1981 or 1982, most of the members of this forum were probably
not even born yet.... back then , nobody even knew who
Microsoft was... The word "Playstation" hasn't even been
invented yet... no cell phones, no MP3.... yes, definitely
Can't believe it's been almost 30 years since my very first
I was still in the sack. ;P
Yeah makes more sense for it to come out on DS
i wonder if they're gonna have popeye =X
Oh man - I used to love Game & Watch, they used to do single screen ones as well as the clamshells............... the first one came out in April 1980 and there were 59 different games made in total before the GameBoy came along.
G & W's were invented by one of Nintendo's greatest designers, Gunpei Yokoi. He was also the mastermind behind the GameBoy and headed the team that wrote Metroid for the NES.
My old man used to work in the far east and when he came back to the UK he used to bring them back, they were about a quarter of the price compared to the prices in this country.
Fond memories........... anyone remember the little piece of wire that acted as a 'stand' on the single screen ones........... I remember my Donkey Kong Jr waking me up for school each morning..........
Here's the original Mario Bros........ one of my favourites. I also used to love "Oil Panic".
ive heard some of the game and watch series were moderninsed on the mario vrs donkeykong series but im not sure. I also used to have something on my GBC which i bought from france called game and watch gallery 3 which had old school games and then modernised versions of them.
See here to play them
24 years isn't "almost 30". It had better not be, anyway, or I'd be called "almost 40" lol.
