That's an understatement.... when I bought it back in 1981 or 1982, most of the members of this forum were probably
not even born yet.... back then , nobody even knew who
Microsoft was... The word "Playstation" hasn't even been
invented yet... no cell phones, no MP3.... yes, definitely
pre-historic... :)

Can't believe it's been almost 30 years since my very first
Nintendo.... :(

I was still in the sack. ;P

Oh man - I used to love Game & Watch, they used to do single screen ones as well as the clamshells............... the first one came out in April 1980 and there were 59 different games made in total before the GameBoy came along.

G & W's were invented by one of Nintendo's greatest designers, Gunpei Yokoi. He was also the mastermind behind the GameBoy and headed the team that wrote Metroid for the NES.

My old man used to work in the far east and when he came back to the UK he used to bring them back, they were about a quarter of the price compared to the prices in this country.

Fond memories........... anyone remember the little piece of wire that acted as a 'stand' on the single screen ones........... I remember my Donkey Kong Jr waking me up for school each morning..........

Here's the original Mario Bros........ one of my favourites. I also used to love "Oil Panic".

24 years isn't "almost 30". It had better not be, anyway, or I'd be called "almost 40" lol.
