Ya I wish some of my favorite tools could be transfered, hell give me cat, grep, awk & sed and you can filter any amount of information to whatever you want it to be. (CLI FTW!!)

Well if the application is not to specific to the OS design and is coded with say a common language like C, (not always) it can be recompiled for a different platform or even hardware architecture.

Pidgin supports MSN if you absolutely must use MSN. At least you don't have to use the MSN client.

Pidgin is just a cover over for the core applications true name, "GAIM". I like the old name better.

I used to use pidgin, but it doesn't support voice chat, does it? Nor voice recordings, shared folders, or data transfers?

I'll stick with my pop-up-causing, resource-raping MSN live messenger.

I've got something called Visual Studio 2005 and it's taking up like 2GB!!

I think it has something to do with Flash.

And Oracle? Is that the same as google.

    Very confusing.

No it's not. Gaim changed its name to Pidgin due to AOL getting their panties in a knot. There is no part currently referred to as "Gaim" anymore, and Pidgin isn't a "wrapper".

You're kidding, right? Please tell me you're kidding.
